Now that you maintain the enchant on yourself, does that mean you can go out of radar range then?

Probably? Haven't tried though. By the mechanics of the game you should be able to, but you won't be able to shadow step all the way back.

I am rather sure that you will only go back the maximum limit towards that ally.

Yes you can go outside of radar range now without the Racall dropping. You'll teleport one radar radius, max, back towards your target. Pathing tends to break over long distances though, so you might not teleport as far as you might think.
